In the previous article we listed the benefits of sticking to the goal until it hovers into reality. This is a form of motivation. Motivation is a means of keeping the energy levels high enough so you feel excited about the end product. We also suggested going out to the moment the goal is achieved and having a celebratory party by asking ourselves what it will feel, look and sound like once the goal has been successfully accomplished. Here is another technique.

Go out to the end and ask yourself 6 questions

Yes, to give yourself more impetus and clarity you enlist the aid of Kipling’s six little helpers. Who, what, where, why, when and how.

Who: Who are the players needed to accomplish the desired outcome? Are they all on board or do you need to go out and find somebody else? Who?

What: What is the objective of achieving the goal? In other words why are you doing it?

Where: Where do you intend the goal to take place?

Why: Why do I want to fulfil this goal? What benefit will it give me when I have done so?

When: Set your date. This allows you to measure progress.

How: This is the real game plan. How will I do it? Simply write down the steps and follow them as you would a cooking recipe.

The Objectives

By getting involved in detail like this you make the goal more real to your subconscious mind. As it gels into existence you can feel the aim taking on a reality of its own. As it materializes we feel closer to it and thus produce the motivation to keep going until overall success is achieved.

Goal Setting is Fun

This is a fun experience, enjoy the journey. The more fun you have the easier success becomes.
