Pros

1) Gas Mileage - 60 miles per gallon in the city and 51 miles per gallon on the highway is great.

2) Noise - Hybrids are quiet and offer a smooth ride.

3) Mainstream - Hybrids are becoming ever more popular and with their popularity comes better looks and soon to be better selection.

4) Fuel - Hybrids use gasoline which gives you the convenience of fueling up anywhere unlike bio-diesel and natural gas.

5) Lower Emissions- A greener planet is a better planet.

Cons

1) Cost - Are you willing to spend the extra $3 000-$10 000 for a hybrid version?

2) Battery - Average battery life lasts approximately 6-10 years. The cost of the battery is in the thousands.

3) Growing Technology - Think of a hybrid as a computer, how fast does the technology grow? You’ll buy a new hybrid in 2009 to find out that it is already behind the times in 2010.
