Toothpaste is not always the best product for your teeth. Sometimes, surprisingly it contains sugar to make it taste nice, which rots your teeth. Fluoride, an element from the halogen group is frequently added to toothpaste and drinking water to protect teeth from cavities. In children, there is some scientific evidence that it might have a marginally beneficial effect. But it has no effect on adults where it can be a health hazard, leading to thyroid problems and other illnesses. Stop using commercially prepared toothpaste that cost money and undermines your health, instead make your own. To begin you need to go to the grocery store and buy some baking soda.

  1. Take a small bowl. Mix three parts baking soda to two parts Hydrogen peroxide, so that you have a creamy consistency.
  2. Transfer the contents of the bowl to a plastic storage container with a screw top.
  3. Dip your toothbrush in the mixture and brush normally. Rinse the mouth with Hydrogen peroxide and swill it around the mouth for a minute or two. Spit it out and if necessary rinse again with water.
  4. You can add a few drops of food grade food flavoring if you don’t like the taste of your baking soda toothpaste. I suggest using peppermint.
  5. If you find the toothpaste is too gritty, go to the store and buy some food grade glycerine. Add a few drops and keep adding until the mixture becomes more “pastey” and less “powdery”.
  6. Enjoy your new super healthy toothpaste.
