Frugal Tip of the Day - Learn to Love Your Library

Libraries are not dull like they used to be
If you don’t frequent the library, it’s time you start. They aren’t like they used to be 10 to 20 years ago. They now have lots of computers with internet access, reading times for kids and so much more. Libraries offer lots of useful stuff for FREE. They have an abundance of:
- Books
- Magazines
- Movies
- CD’s
- Tapes(not so much anymore)
I find it odd how a person can buy a book, read it and then leave it on some bookcase to collect dust for the next 30 plus years. If there’s a book you really want to read, look for it at the library first and if they don’t have it, by all means buy it. But if they do have it, why buy it when you can have it for 2 or 3 weeks? You can always ask for an extension(which will costs you nothing) if you don’t have the time to read it in the first two weeks.
Take Advantage of all the Material They have to Offer
Looking to improve yourself in science, business, personal finance? You’re almost guaranteed to have a resource that can help you at the library. Having trouble finding the right book? Ask a librarian who can find you the best resources they have to offer in timely manner. Want to look at the latest issue of Money Magazine but don’t want to buy it? Head on over to the library and take an hour or two and read until your heart’s desire. Like I said, if you haven’t been frequenting the library, it’s time you should.
