In this fast paced world where entertainment is a must to keep ourselves from being bored we must shield ourselves from spending too much. There are many alternatives we can consider for our hobbies and for leisure time. Buying books and movies gets expensive, and even renting can add up. Take a trip to your local library; and you’ll find all of the latest books and movies available free of charge. But if you still would love to rent then make sure that you check out the video shops in your area and go for the one that rent out videos at lower price and less penalty or better yet no penalties or surcharge.
Some of us find it odd or sometimes we just don’t have time to check out or drop by the library when we are considering entertainment or if we are thinking of checking out books. But if we only take time to befriend the library then we can actually save enormous amount of money on buying books because of instead buying books all we have to do is borrow them and so goes the same with DVD’s and we don’t even have to go to an internet café if we need to check emails when we are not at home all we need to do is simply look for the nearest library and they are all cost free.
Since I started going to the library first and check what they has made me save a lot of money because the only time I will have to spend is if the library doesn’t have what I wanted or if somebody has borrowed it ahead of me. And besides once you get to know your library well you will be able to discover new things and perhaps develop a new hobby as well.
One factor that really surprised me is that I have developed another hobby by just going to the library everyday. I become more aware of myself and believe it or not I have become more patient because the more I tried borrowing DVD’s and books from the library and I found out how much I have saved at the end of the month. I came to value every visit I made to the library and I learned to become patient and since I lived just a few blocks away from the library I also came to love walking on my way to the library. So it not only made me save a lot on having to purchase books and DVD’s but also help me cut my gasoline consumption.
Befriending the library is not really a bad thing in fact it offers you a great and wide range of choices and it can help you save a lot, I mean not just a lot but A LOT and believe me you will become a better person because you get to interact with the people you meet inside the library. Befriending the library not only help me cut my expenses in many ways but it also help me become physically fit by walking everyday on my way to the library and it also help me become the better person that I should be by helping me socialize with people inside the library.
