A lot of people would rather take their car to a car shop for change oil rather than doing it by themselves. Changing oil by yourself is rather tiresome and you really should know on how to do it. But one can just imagine how much you can save up if you do it on your own.
Since I start changing oil on my own one factor that really surprised me is that having to do it on my own has greatly reduced my stress level. Reduced my stress level in a way I won’t have to get up in the morning to catch up with the appointment set up for my schedule to change oil. I won’t have to worry about having to make a second call just to verify if the shop is really open to avoid wasting time of having to drive only to find out the shop is already close plus I am in control of when I am going to do it and not having to worry especially during the weekend especially if the shop closes on weekends because I can do it on my own. Imagine how much gas I actually saved by not having to drive to the car shop just to have oil changed.
Since I start doing it on my own I get the chance and liberty to choose which oil is best for my car and which one I love using and I get to learn more than just driving and I am more aware of what my car needs and how to keep it from breaking down soon. Skip the quick lube, and change your own oil. You’ll reduce your tab to the price of oil and a filter, and maybe even save time too – quick lubes aren’t always as quick as the name suggests.
There are just a few things you need to know before you begin changing oil first is never change your oil while the engine is hot, let it cool for a few hours and most of all remember that oil can burn us as badly and that you have a safe area to do your oil change. And one of the prerequisite is a solid ground so that you can safely jack up your car. And also make sure you are using a piece of plywood just in case you spill. But before you start your oil change make sure that you got all the things you need before you start working on it and make sure that you get the old oil out of the pan in your car. Once you got all these at hand then your perfect. You are not only able to save and cut low on costs but it also reduces the stress level as well and make you a better owner of your car because you fairly know how to take care of your car and not just drive and wear them out and trust me after you have done changing the oil on your own you will feel much better and proud of yourself that you are able to do it on your own. If you want to reduce the stress in your life, gain more time back in your days and ultimately saved money.
