1) The Nice Relaxing Coffee Date: Go to a nice coffee shop, get a couple of coffees and sit down in a nice comfy loveseat or too big chairs.
Cost: $5 to $10 for the coffee
2) Window Shopping at the Mall: Always a great way to talk and dream about all the stuff that you’d love to buy but can’t because you are on a budget. Spend an evening perusing the stores and maybe have share some ice cream or something.
Cost: Maybe $4 for the Gelato
3) The Zoo: The zoo tends to be cheap and it usually takes an entire day to see everything. Bring your own water and food to cut down on costs.
Cost: $20-$35 for the Zoo tickets and $5 to $10 for the food
4) The Beach or the Park: Go for the day and bring a freesbie, a soccer ball or anything else that might interest you and your partner.
Cost: FREE
5) Skating or Rollerblading (all time favorite): You can’t go wrong with skating. If your partner doesn’t know how to skate, that’s even better. I always enjoy teaching people to skate because you get the satisfaction of knowing you and only you taught a certain individual to skate.
Cost: $5-$15 for skating and skate rentals
6) Movie Night or Movie Day (at home): Some nights my girlfriend and I will have a movie night and all we do is watch movies. It’s great when you can rent all the Pirates of the Caribbean or all the Bournes and watch them all the same night. If you have the entire day and don’t want to do anything but relax, just rent a television series and watch it. It gets addictive and you never want to stop watching.
Cost: $10-$20 for the movies
7) Kayaking or canoeing: Live near a lake or a river? I suggest renting a canoe or a couple kayaks and spend the day enjoying the sun and the water.
Cost: $20-$40 for the rentals.
Bowling: How can you not like bowling. Yes it’s corny and cliché but it’s always a fun night out.
Cost: $15-$30 for the shoes and lane.
9) Go to the Driving Range or Batting Cages: Always a great day when you can hit a few balls as gently or as hard as you can.
Cost: $20-$40 depending on how long you stay.
10) Baking: Ever try baking with another person? If you haven’t, you’ve got to try it. It’s fun, sometimes easy and you always end up having a flour fight.
Cost: $2-$20 and some great treats
11) Attend a Painting Class or Pottery Class: There are lots of little places that will show you how to paint or to sculpt simple things. The best part about it is you can take it home and display your great talent.
Cost: $20 to $50. Be careful, some places can charge you three times this price.
12) Go to the Bookstore: My girlfriend loves books and I love magazines. So we often head over to our local bookstore and read to each other and talk about what we like and don’t like when it comes to reading. If we find anything we really like, we sometimes buy it.
Cost: FREE unless you buy a few books. I suggest leaving the book there and buying it online at a lower price.
13) Have a Board Game night: It’s fun, very inexpensive and you have so many to choose from. Most board games you can play online for free now.
Cost: FREE
14) Go strawberry Picking: There is nothing like taking in some sun, relaxing and having all the strawberries you can eat (make sure they are pesticide free).
Cost: $5-$15, depends on how many baskets you pick.
15) Attend College Sports Games: Attending a college sport is amazing. You and 20, 30, 40 or even 100 thousand fans cheering on a team. Get seasons passes and it’s a season of thrilling dates.
Cost: Football and basketball cost more than volleyball and badminton. You can pay as little as $20 but you can also pay in the hundreds. Do some research and find out what sport you’d like to watch and what gender and then ask for ticket prices.

Hey, great list here! I’ve bookmarked this page to come back to for that next day my wife and I are staring at each other asking “What do you want to do?”
